1. Abstract
According to our last discussion, this document will describe and provide a quotation for:
- A conveyor belt.
- A label applicator unit, featuring a pneumatic applicator head with airjet.
- A label applicator stand, featuring the following adjustments:
1. In the direction of the motion: trigger delay, saved into the database and communicated to the control PLC;
2. Y ADJUSTMENT BY STEP/DIR AXIS;
3. Z adjustment by a proximity sensor (optical) on the applicator plate.
- A RFID reader with its own antenna, fully integrated in the applicator plate.
- A Touch Screen Windows 7 (or superior) PC, with a software tool able to provide operating
settings to control PLC (Siemens) and to communicate with an internal database for gathering information and create feedback data.

STAND: 3 axis stand
X adjustment is obtained by TRIGGER DELAY.
Z adjustment is provided by optical sensor on the applicator plate.
Y adjust is mechanical with STEP/DIR motor: the control of such position is by the control PLC on the basis of data contained into the database.

PANEL PC
Touch screen panel with the following features (or higher)
- Screen size 12 inches or more;
- Operative System: WINDOWS SEVEN / WINDOWS SEVEN EMBEDDED;
- 2 ETHERNET PORTS;
- 2 SERIAL RS232 PORTS;
- Keyboard and keyboard tray;
- IP65 front;
Custom software able to:
- Communicate with process PLC in order to set operating values (delays, functions);
- Get product family/description from a database table (internal database: the duty to fill the database rely on third person; our system permits to insert/modify/delete articles from the table)
- Interfacing with the UHF RFID reader (physically within the applicator plate) and create a result table with EPC and product family/description.
- Read/Write EPC data
All software language will be English.
RFID READER
- UHF RFID reader and antenna (power up to 250mW)
- Positioned within the applicator plate in order to communicate with the sole RFID in the proximity range
- Ethernet communication port interfaced with the Panel PC
ELECTRONIC CONSOLE
A Siemens S71200 plc will take care of the management of the system.
